Privacy Policy
Short version: Vanuatu Music on Android and Vanuatu-Music on iOS use device and app identifiers plus album-access records to unlock, download and restore music. Favorites, playlists and downloaded audio are stored on your device. We do not sell personal data, show targeted ads or collect payment-card details in either mobile app.
1. Scope
This policy explains how South Pacific Domains, LLC ("we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the Vanuatu Music Android app, the Vanuatu-Music iOS app, related music services or this website.
2. Information the app handles
- Device and app identifiers: device and app identifiers used by the Android or iOS version, an app-generated profile identifier, app version, operating-system information and claimed-device status.
- Album access information: albums associated with your device, download and restoration status, and timestamps needed to provide access.
- Authentication information: an album access code or credentials you enter. These are transmitted to our service to verify access and may be retained on your device as session information needed for offline use and redownload.
- App activity: track, album or band identifiers, playback events and event timestamps used to deliver playback, maintain the queue and protect licensed content.
- Technical information: IP address, request time, app or operating-system information, and error or security logs that may be recorded by our hosting and network providers.
The current app profile does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, camera or microphone. The Android and iOS apps do not collect payment-card details and contain no in-app checkout.
3. Information stored on your device
Downloaded audio, album artwork, track metadata, favorites, playlist order, repeat setting, playback state, access sessions and the offline music database are stored locally on your device. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app can remove this local data and downloaded music. Album-access records retained by our service may allow eligible music to be downloaded again.
4. Why we use information
- Verify album access and associate owned music with the correct device.
- Download, play and restore music, including offline playback.
- Operate favorites, playlists, background playback and playback controls.
- Secure licensed content, prevent misuse and diagnose failures.
- Respond to support, privacy and deletion requests.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal or sensitive information. We may disclose limited information to infrastructure, hosting, content-delivery, security and database providers that process it for us; to Google or Apple when needed for Google Play, Apple App Store and related platform services; to music-rights holders when needed to administer licensed access; or when required by law or necessary to protect users, rights and service security. Providers may process technical information under their own terms and privacy obligations.
6. Security
We use HTTPS for network transfers and apply access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you remove it, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Device-account and album-entitlement records are kept while needed to provide restoration, protect licensed content, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operations and security.
You can request deletion of server-side profile and device data through our account and data deletion page. Deleting associated album-entitlement records may prevent future restoration or redownload. Some records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention or rights-management purposes; we will explain any required retention when responding.
8. Children
Vanuatu Music is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and delete it where required.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when app features, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
